Little Sentinel

I took this photo on my way to Cinder Cone Volcano in Lassen Volcanic National Park in June of 2023. It was about 5 o’clock in the morning when I spotted a patch of mist and this little tree in the foreground. The mist left tiny ice crystals on the low shrubs, which makes the trees stand out more, and I like how the mist increases the perception of depth in the scene.
