Strawberry Moon

I am trying out a new camera this week. And what better occasion to do so than when the strawberry moon comes rolling by. As the moon is only about 361,000 km away from earth, it very nearly is a ‘supermoon.’
This was the second location I checked out and only discovered it after giving up on a location higher up at Mt. Tamalpais, which was completely shrouded in clouds. When I made it to this spot, the moon had just started to rise and I was struggling with the unfamiliar settings of the camera. Eventually, however, some settings worked as expected and I got some shots in. This was a good practice run for another attempt tomorrow. Let’s see what conditions await us then.
