Research Interest

My background is in computer science, mathematics, ecology, and the analysis of complex systems. My PhD is in theoretical ecology. I currently work on machine learning projects that cover a cross-section of computer vision, geospatial, and remote sensing data. My past work revolved around Facebook’s High-Resolution Settlement Layer: https://dataforgood.facebook.com/dfg/tools/high-resolution-population-density-maps. I’m currently working as lead engineer for ML at Vibrant Planet.
