Planter

[singlepic id=80 w= h= float=center]

We met him on our hike back from the local ‘top of the world’ close to Kibale National Park. He had bought banana and arrowroot seedlings to plant on his land. The banana shoots are the big ones, the smaller ones above his saddle are arrowroot tubers. He graciously allowed us to take his picture and our guide to explain the different types of seedlings to us. Bicycles are the freight trains of the rural areas in Malawi, Uganda, and Kenya.
