Afterglow

Somewhere in Utah. It took a long time to get dark after sundown, or at least that’s what it felt like. I had this impression probably because I was actually following the process. Anyway, it gave me enough time to put some 500 MB of pictures onto the memory card of my camera by trying to get a decent picture with light being reflected back from one of the many little ponds along the rail tracks. That’s quite hard when you try that from out of a moving train so that you have to find the right balance between a fast enough shutter speed to prevent the picture from becoming blurry and long enough exposure time to actually see anything but deep black emptyness.
